My goal is to take beautiful photos that are real. My focus is capturing personalities, capturing emotions, and capturing life. I'm not a big fan of "pose-y" pictures. I don't want you to look at your picture and think that fifty years ago, your grandparents were photographed with the exact same pose. I want to document your life. The laughs, the excitement, the love, the silly little things that make all of us, us.
With computers and other electronics being so incorporated into our lives now-a-days, most the time, our precious memories just sit on computer harddrives and SD cards. We need to get them onto YOUR walls to show off and remind you every day how special your family really is.
My studio is your backyard. The local park. Or anywhere you want it to be. Your children don't live under hot lights, so how could they be comfortable, and act natural? How could their true personality really shine in tight spaces? By having your family in surroundings that they feel comfortable in, it makes the experience enjoyable and natural, and that will come across in your portraits. Portrait sessions shouldn't be stressful, so why make them?
I don't rush our sessions. Instead of twenty minutes of stiff poses and cheesy smiles, I share up to 3 hours of laid back and easy-going time with your family to make sure I get the genuine smiles and the pictures you'll cherish. Breaks, snacks, and silly time are encouraged so that your children don't get burnt out and I can easily capture the real them.
